Maximum speed is 10km/hr, please drive respectfully and watch out for children.

Campfires, Firewood and BBQs

Fire pits must not be moved! Safety precautions are a big one! Make sure your fire is out before calling it a night. In the correct circumstance, a smoldering fire can quickly become a large flame while everyone is asleep. Fires must be contained within the fire pit provided. It is illegal to have a fire outside of a designated location. Do not burn garbage or collect deadfall from the surrounding forest for burning.

DO NOT harm any trees, please refrain from damaging them by placing nails, screws, axes etc in them. It is an offence to do so. Do not chop any trees including deadfall to light your fire, this plays an important role within nature and our surrounding environment.

No outside firewood is permitted! Outside firewood can carry invasive insects and diseases and may face a fine of up to $50,000 and/or prosecution. We have firewood available for purchase; send a text to 403-505-1204 for delivery.

Protect picnic tables by placing barbeques on the ground or placing aluminum foil under your camp stove.

Wildlife and keeping a clean campsite

Our mountains are home to lots of wildlife including racoons, bears and cougars. Respect the wildlife of the area and make sure the campground is a safe place for all beings that stay here. Do not leave any animal attractants unattended at your site when you leave or go to bed. Store everything in your vehicle. Wildlife attractants include but aren’t limited to: food, garbage, coolers, empty coolers, bbqs, dirty dishes, empty cans or bottles, soap and toiletries.

ABSOLUTELY NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS, CHERRY PITS ETC ON THE GROUND!!! If found at your site you will be charged and asked to leave.

Dirty campsites will be cleaned immediately by our staff and will result in a minimum $25 cleaning fee and if it happens more than once you will be evicted without a refund.

DO NOT rearrange your campsite, picnic tables and fire pits are to remain in the same spot you found them. Clean up after yourself, there should be no trace that you stayed when you pull out of the park. If staff have to move picnic tables or fire pits back to where they belong you will be charged $25.

Quite time and Generators

We ask that you turn off your generators at night, quiet time is from 10:00pm to 8:00am.

Please respect this and your fellow campers and only run generators when necessary. Help us provide campers with a quiet and enjoyable experience and remember that sound travels further in open air, especially music and loud talking. Excessive noise is not permitted at any time and will not be tolerated. Fireworks are prohibited.

Respect the facilities

We supply an outhouse, outside sink and outdoor shower. Please respect other campers and shower within the supplied enclosure, not everyone thinks you look as good as you do and we have children on site. Absolutely no doing dishes in the outdoor sink. Be Respectful of your neighbors

Please be respectful and courteous to your fellow campers and smoke only in your designated camp site. We ask that you take the extra couple of seconds to walk around campsites instead of going through them. While you might not think it’s a problem to cut corners but you could be intruding on someone’s personal space.

We hired kayaks from here and had a wonderful day on the river. Mel and her husband are super friendly and Mel was very responsive and accommodating when arranging the booking. Having an optional pick up at the end of the paddle was a great option for us as we are visiting from Scotland and our rental car can't take kayaks. The river was very peaceful, we brought our cooler and a picnic and even saw an osprey catch a fish! Low key family owned and run business who we were much happier renting from than a big corporate operation. Thanks guys!

If you are looking for a simple, clean,no fuss campsite with bathrooms this is a great option. The upick wasn't open when we went through but other than that it was what we expected.

I can't recommend Hanging Loose in Sicamous enough! My partner and I were on our way to move to Prince George when we had some unexpected mechanical issues with our vehicle. We were lucky enough to stumble upon this beautiful campsite, and the owners were kind enough to let us stay the night and even let us have late check-out the next day while our vehicle was being fixed.

The owners were incredibly kind to us during our stay, and they went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. They even recommended a nearby waterfall hike for us to check out while we waited for our vehicle to be fixed, which ended up being a highlight of our trip.

The location of the campsite is simply stunning - right beside the river, with beautiful views all around. The facilities were clean and well-maintained, and we had a fantastic time exploring the area.

If you're looking for a peaceful and scenic camping experience with amazing hosts who go the extra mile to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable, then Hanging Loose in Sicamous is the perfect place for you. We will definitely be back!

Truly an amazing Rving experience! Nestled in the cedars, and the river close by gave us the perfect setting for relaxation and care free days. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. We not only extended our stay but will definitely be back again next year! Keep up the great work!
